ALDISaktuell/BLIDSaktuell keep your computer permanently connected to the ALDIS/BLIDS server. Located discharges appear within seconds – either static or as an animation, freely zoomable and exactly where the storm is raging right now.
Whether a single location, the entire D•AT•CH region or all of Europe:
ALDISaktuell/BLIDSaktuell shows the
current storm situation exactly the way you need it. Lightning strikes are counted, colour-coded by when
they occurred and additionally classified by type – cloud lightning (intracloud) or ground
lightning (cloud-to-ground) – as well as by their strength. On request combined with a satellite image
(infrared), cloud movement and the region's precipitation data: in Austria from the INCA analysis by
GeoSphere Austria, in Germany from the DWD. A single glance is enough to assess the track and intensity of a cell.
