Lightning, storm, rain, hail – everything at a glance
ALDISexpert/BLIDSexpert is the web portal for address-specific queries of meteorological events. Five parameters, one login – for experts, insurers and anyone who needs to document historical weather data reliably.
In the portal, five meteorological parameters can be queried: lightning, storm, precipitation, hail probability and temperature – time-based, address-specific and with map and table output. In addition, detailed climate information is available: Climate Mirror and Climate Review enable a comparison with the 1981–2020 climate period.
The five query parameters
Each parameter provides a different picture of the event – combined, they form a complete meteorological documentation.
Lightning query
Address-based query for a freely selectable period. Located lightning strikes are displayed on a map; a table shows the time of the discharge and the distance to the queried location.
Storm query
Hourly maximum values of wind gusts, maximum temperature, minimum temperature and a storm indicator for a representative area – day-based, per postal code area.
Precipitation query
Daily precipitation total incl. maximum precipitation total per hour as well as snow and new snow amounts from the nearest weather stations in the queried postal code area.
Hail query
Address-based query for one day. Shows the probability of hail occurring in the specified area – as a compact assessment for damage claims and expert reports.
Temperature query
Address- or postal-code-based query for a freely selectable period. Shows maximum and minimum values as well as the temperature curve of the nearest weather stations.
Detailed climate information
In addition to the event queries, the Expert Portal offers two climate modules: The Climate Mirror compares the weather development of the last 30 days or of any calendar year since the selected measuring station was established with the 1981–2020 climate period. The Climate Review provides detailed information on the weather pattern of a month or an entire calendar year.
Multiple users
Expert offices, insurers and other multiple users receive a login name and password and can run queries themselves at any time. Query packages at tiered prices:
