Legend
Number of lightning strokes per minute
- Black line: Cloud-to-Ground strokes and Cloud Pulses
- Blue line: Cloud-to-Ground strokes only
Start and end of the display period
The colored marking indicates the age of the lightning events.
Period | Total number | Negative | Positive | Cloud-to-Cloud
Classification
On the map, lightning events are displayed with different symbols to make it easy to distinguish between categories:

■ Square: Negative Cloud-to-Ground strokes

● Circle: Positive Cloud-to-Ground strokes

▲ Triangle: Cloud Pulses
Zooming on the map
There are three simple ways to zoom in on the map:

Double-click
Double-click the desired location on the map with the left mouse button to zoom in. -
Mouse wheel
Scroll the mouse wheel forward to zoom in, or backward to zoom out. -
Shift + Drag rectangle
Hold down the Shift key and drag a rectangle with the left mouse button over the area you want to enlarge.
